Audio Adrenaline Says "Adios"...
After Three Million Albums Sold, 18 No. 1 Radio Hits, GRAMMY/Dove Trophies,
15-Years of Sold Out Concerts, AudioA Prepares 2006 Farewell Album, Live Events
Nashville, Tenn., (January 18, 2006) – One of the industries top bands, Audio Adrenaline announces that it will add a final chapter to its substantial career with Adios, slated to release later this year. After 15-years of music and mission, Audio Adrenaline is choosing to say "adios," offering one more nod to its considerable fan base with the album and select live events.
After years of giving his all on stage and in the studio, Audio Adrenaline frontman Mark Stuart is experiencing ongoing vocal challenges. After consulting with doctors, it is clear the toll his voice has taken will prevent his ability to continue a consistent live performance schedule.
"Fifteen years of rock 'n' roll takes a toll on the vocal chords, but I wouldn't trade a day of it for anything," says Stuart. "Touring and making records with Will, Ben and Tyler has truly been a gift from God, as well as worshiping night after night with the greatest fans on the planet."
"As one of the most successful and longest running bands in Christian music, Audio Adrenaline has made tremendous impact in the lives of their loyal listeners," says Peter York, EMI CMG Label Group president. "They have also been a strong influence and positive role model for many of today's emerging bands. It has been EMI CMG's privilege to partner with Audio Adrenaline and to support their music and ministry throughout their entire career."
With plans for Adios in its initial stages, fans can anticipate a commemorative look at the expansive career of Audio Adrenaline through the band's greatest hits along with two newly recorded songs. A special edition Adios package is slated to include a DVD containing all Audio Adrenaline videos, live performance footage and new band interviews. This package will also feature interviews from artists impacted by Audio Adrenaline, including tobyMac and Steven Curtis Chapman, as well as members of MercyMe, Pillar, Relient K and Newsboys, each talking about their shared tour experiences and favorite memories of Audio Adrenaline.
"The plans emerging for Adios promise to deliver a fun and poignant experience in which Audio Adrenaline fans can participate," says York. "The legacy of Audio Adrenaline is one that will continue to make impact for many
years to come."
Audio Adrenaline recently completed its successful fall Until My Heart Caves
In tour in support of its critically acclaimed, 2006 GRAMMY nominated and ninth studio album of the same name. As one of today's top touring attractions, known for members' explosiveness and energetic outpourings, coupled with state of the art production, the band is currently preparing its final touring schedule that will give fans the opportunity to see one of today's most successful rock bands one last time. In addition to select dates throughout the year, the tour will route them through the major summer festivals in 2006.
"Audio Adrenaline has been a favorite over the years and remains one of our
top concert draws," says Tim Landis, Creation Festival producer. "On the
cutting edge musically, the band found their audience early and became a
consistent headliner for Creation Festival. We are excited about having
them one last time this summer, as it's sure to be a memorable experience in
this band's remarkable history. AudioA is truly one of the great bands of
our day."
Since 1991, Audio Adrenaline has taken a full throttled blast of musical passion, melded it with a compassionate desire to impact the world at large and added members' rock-solid grounding in reality with their vulnerable, no holds barred songwriting. Thanks to earnest performances and undying appreciation for its fans, the group has sold over three million records and racked up 18 No. 1 singles. The band's Bloom recording was certified Gold by the RIAA in 1999 and they were awarded the prestigious "Song of the Decade" crowning in the 90s for "Big House" by CCM Magazine. With a
prestigious GRAMMY Award for it's 2003 recording, Worldwide, and four Dove
Awards, Audio Adrenaline has consistently proved its relevance, artistry and heart.
The band is also well known for its humanitarian aid and will remain heavily involved with Flicker Records and raising funds to continue its Hands & Feet Project, a non-profit organization they formed dedicated to the health, welfare and education of orphaned children of Haiti. The organization provides the nurturing of a loving home, a viable Christian witness, and attention to the medical needs and proper education of each orphaned child taken in by the orphanage.
Stay tuned to AudioA.COM for details about Adios as well as tour dates...we hope to rock with you all one last time as we prepare to make 2006 an amazing year for the band!

I remember back in 2001 at Creation Festival I saw you guys in concert for the second time in my life. I love all your songs you guys perform that night. There was one song that I want to hear so bad. My friends were all in a hurry to leave and I said just this one last song it might be the one that I want to hear. I don't remember what the title was either. I know as soon as you guys play the song I know what it is. What can you say you guys sang the song as soon as I said that. OCEAN FLOOR. I have all my friend froze up and just listen. I had tears in my eye and I look to see all my friends crying too. One night I will not ever forget and I will have that to remember. It was my last year at Creation because I had to move to Florida. You guys were the last one to close too and I will never forget that night and that year. My heart breaks to hear that it will end soon. I pray that God will just bless all of you for serving him. Thank you for the amazing touching songs I will always sing it where ever I go.

You guys were my first and last favorite band. I know there's good ones out there but none that can ever take your place. I pray God still blesses all of you and your families. Dear AudioA,
I am probably not your typical fan; I'm 43 years old. I took my daughter to see you in Ocean Grove NJ. I thought it would be a chance to see a band that I was somewhat familiar with. I was absolutely blown away by your concert. I am still amazed at your interaction with the audience; that children were dancing in the aisles. Mark sang to a young girl holding a teddy bear on stage. Mark is THE best front man of ANY band. You became my favorite band that night. I saw you again in Lancaster, PA and hope I can see you one more time. Your music speaks to me whether I am in a quiet worshipful mood, or need motivation. Your Hands and Feet song has motivated me to become the "hands and feet" of Jesus and your music is helping me through a difficult emotional time. You guys have built up many treasures in heaven. When we all get to heaven, I will be expecting many Audio A concerts. I am looking forward to your last CD/DVD. Thank you for all your music and all that you have done. I pray you will continue your Hands and Feet Project. I feel like Contemporary Christian Music is "losing its right arm". Thank you again.

I could not recall how many Audio A concerts I had been to over the years when I jumped up on stage in Belvidere IL last fall at the age of 31. Leaving Marc without his microphone as I crossed the stage singing a song I had sung a thousand times before in my car was something I will never forget. The only proof I have is my wife. Well Boys, It was great to see you grow and go to the top with your servants heart and your great talent. I remember bringing in A-180 for a concert for a little town in Ohio and Will (I called him Bill) slept on my couch after talking till the wee hours of the morning. Hanging out with you all from the college years and seeing you in concert as Audio A does my heart good. You all have even influenced the way I do my own motivational speaking business. SO it is truly with a heavy heart to see you go into retirement. I look forward to seeing you here in Florida when you come and hopefully we can hang out a little bit as well. We will have to go out to dinner like we did a few years ago when you did the concert at TCTC. Well good bye boys I am going to put my A-180 t-shirt behind class along with an Audio A shirt to remind me and those I speak to that you can go a long ways with drive, talent and GOD. In the words of that great comedian Bob Hope, "THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES".

Thank you! I have listened to your music for as long as I can remember! I am 22 years old and direct a small missions organization in the foothills of Tibet. A couple years ago, as I was travelling and evangelizing in a mountainous region near to here, I become nearly overwhelmed with exhaustion. To wake myself up (and for encouragement!) I began to listen to the Worldwide CD that my brother had loaned me. Not only did it give me more energy to finish the Gospel work I was doing, but it inspired me as a missionary. We have since named our ministry after the Worldwide album ... Going Worldwide Ministries @ www.goingworldwide.info.
Thank you for encouraging songs and good music! I listen to your cds all the time as I work here in the foothills of Tibet!
Blessings in Him....

AudioA has been a daily part of my life for over 10 years. There are plenty of other great bands/artists, but no one else is as uplifting and encouraging in EVERY single song. After my sister (another Audio fan) died in a car wreck a few years ago, I remember sobbing as I sang along with ‘Get Down’, and I know your music played a big part in helping me get through a very tough time in my life. When I started dating my wife, she would tell me to turn off that 'head-banger' music, and she almost didn’t get another date, but together we wore her down and when I told her that her favorite band was moving on, the tears were immediate and abundant. Since discovering your music I have never missed a Central California concert, sometimes even being fortunate enough to catch two shows the same night. At the last concert (in Visalia, CA), we were able to get right up next to the stage and when my wife called a friend during her favorite song, Mark grabbed the phone and kept on singing without missing a beat. With all the memories I have that are fused together with AudioA music, I can only imagine what the band has to be going through, BUT isn’t it good to know that we serve a GOD who loves us, who knows the desires of our heart better than we do ourselves, and has a GOOD plan for our lives? I can’t wait to see what He has planned for you next!!!

Justino_AA says
Hey Ya'll. I'm Justin. I became heavily influenced and effected by AA after i bought the Bloom album(i actually bought it on cassette for my dad but eventually claimed it for myself and nearly wore the tape out.). Audio Adrenaline has been a very large musical influence on me considering all the genres they pull off. The rock and roll is my favorite by far. I love hearing the dynamics of this band. I bought tickets to the WAAY-Fest event they played at AMSOUTH Ampitheater a few years back and got to meet the guys backstage and snack on chocolate audio a cake. this rocked. The guys were real. not stars. they rocked and rolled but at the same time they were lead worshippers. not idols. a few months later they came to My hometown of Huntsville, Alabama and played at BIG SPRING JAM. I believe it was the exact same playlist or something very similar. THIS DIDN'T MATTER. i loved every second of it. this stuff excited me, challenged, convicted me and hit me hard with every song. Then Audio a came to Athens, Alabama and played the same playlist at Soulstock. I COULD NOT HAVE ENJOYED IT MORE!! (there are pictures of me on the front row on the soulstock.org website-2004, page 14). I loved That concert so much. I have been effected a lot in my musical ministry by the way they respond to God's call. God used them in my life. today is 2/3/2006. A great buddy of mine was at a friend's and read the paper and saw the article about AA "disbanding", retiring. The first thing he did was call me and give me the news. I thought it was a joke and made my dad take a pitsop at a chevron to get the local paper and make sure it was just a joke. It wasn't. wow. One of the most unkillable bands and my all-time favorite was doing something sooner that what i thought might possibly happen. i believe the guys are doing the right thing. It does hurt though to see these guys leaving the stage so soon. I want to thank them for what they are doing and those who support them as well. If everything else seemed ineffective or if things didn't always seem to go your route, audioa- be aware of this: God used you in a way you will never know just in my life and nothing can take that away. Not just onstage, but in my car, my room on oh so many mornings and days, and middays and nights, in my shower( p.s. you guys sound great with ambient shower noise, cool reverb effect.), and in my church (i sang Hands and Feet with our praise band for a special music and i have never heard more encouraging words on the effects and appropriateness of the song-the sermon was on serving.) I saw you guys do the same concert three times and I would still love to see that same one right now. But you were ignored. Yes, and i didn't care if anything about what you were saying or singing. God's voice of love, strength, power, and mercy was drowning you guys out. Or should i say, You guys were the 412 cab, God was the head. Thanks for being the 412 ya'll. I will commit myself to pray for your ministry and lives.

P.S. You sang BIG HOUSE in concert and put the microphone in my face and I kinda got star-struck and forgot the lyrics. It's amazing because I could sing that song in my sleep. Anyways thank you for all you have done, and may GOD be with you in your future ministry.

I think it is SO SAD that you guys are going to stop touring and stuff, but you wanna know something cool? God is using this for the good in my life. see, when my voice teacher told me that if i wasn't careful about how i sing, i could permanantly damage my voice, i didn't really take her that seriousely. i mean, I belived her and all, but i was like, Aw,Come ON it won't happen to ME!I don't need to be careful. and i would come up with variouse exuses and stuff. But now i see how important it is to protect my voice and take good care of the gift that God has given me. Recently i have been more careful about how i use my voice, now that i see the consiquences. So, even though its sad that you have to stop touring and stuff, i just wanted to share how God is using this in my life for good.

I just got the news. I am so sad! I started listening to you guys in 1994. Big house is my all time Audio A fave. I have been a faithful "junkie" ever since. My kids love Audio A now also. I went to my first Audio A concert in 2004 and it was awsome. While I will miss you guys I pray God will bless you many times over because you have been a blessing to so many. Audio A will remain my all time favorite even though the tours are coming to an end. Words just can not express the sadness that I feel right now, but God has a plan even when we can't see what it is. You guys ROCK!!!! God Bless!

I've always wanted to get your band's autograph but every chance I get would get ruined somehow....I'll try harder!!! I met you all at Cornerstone! I talked to Ben before the concert and he took pictures of me playing his drum set. then during the song "Beautiful" I came up and played the Hi Hat...that was totally awsome!! How many times have Mark and will heard "Hands and Feet changed my life"? Well there it is again. It became my theme song when I renewed my faith in 2001 at the age of 33. I was turned on to CCM at a concert in a ballpark in 2001. I'll never forget seeing Will out in right field playing with his kids during one of the opening bands (Out of Eden). Since then I've seen you perform live more than twenty times (Alive Festival, Creation Festival, GMA Week, Winterfest, Winterjam, Festival Con Dios and lots of concerts), became a beaming Adrenaline Junkie at the spry age of 34, had lunch with Mark at the MAPS Creative Artists picnic at GMA week (he sat right beside me.....wow! I was such a dumbstruck fan), and talked with all the guys more than once at Rocketown (I even got to meet the beautiful wives). BLess all of you and your families. Mark, it is my prayer that God heals your throat, but it is a selfish prayer, as the loss I will sense will be deep. When I first came to Christ (truly came to Him) the first big Christian happening around our hometown that I wanted to be part of was the Billy Graham Crusade in Newark, Ohio in I think 1995. You guys came to our little mid-western town in central Ohio and helped me realize that this Christian thing was only as boring as I allowed it to be. I really never knew Christians could ROCK. And through the years, you have helped to sustain my walk with the Lord and have been there even closer than a good friend.
I am in ministry now...youth ministry to be exact...and I have never failed to introduce any youth group to the high octane, full on, spiritually moving rock of Audio A. You have been a blessing to me, my family, and my ministries. When you get back to Florida and want to unplug, look me up. I'll show you some good fishing in these central Florida lakes. We've got the boat, just look me up. It's the least I could do for such a close and good friend. And I am SOOOOOO glad to see you including Rock The Universe in your final tour!
In His tenacious grip,

Hey guys, all I can say is THANK YOU from the depths of my heart. I stumbled upon AA with some little ditty called "Never Gonna Be as Big as Jesus" and have never turned back since! I have all your albums and consider your music to be the soundtrack of my life. Your music has helped me through thick and thin of my high school and college years and I continue to rock out everyday! Thank you for giving the world an avenue of music to use to focus on God day in and day out in good times and in bad. With excessive joy and unbearable sorrow. Though it all you've always taught us to look to Jesus for our answers and we continue to do so. I send all my love and prayers to you guys so that your throat heals and you continue to do whatever God calls you to with ministry. Guys, we all have stories of wearing out your cassette tapes while we were knee-high to a grasshopper.
I want to thank each and every member that's come and gone from this band, for your contributions to the lives of Generation X, Y, and all the others, and for your hand in advancing rock 'n' roll. You are truly appreciated.
I've been a worship leader for 4 years, and part of an original band for 2. I can faithfully say that the event that single-handedly inspired me to play music was when a certain Mark Stuart pulled me on stage at Con Dios in Sept., 2001, in Spokane. I rocked with Mark and Will for the entirety of "Lonely Man", and from then on my life has not been the same.
You have made an indelible mark on the lives of thousands, you guys; God truly bless you and your families.

Hey guys!!! where to start? My name is Julie Powell. I'm 14 years old. I'm gonna miss you guys so much. but like you say in your new song goodbye, no tears of sadness because all the memories we will be left with. your music has blessed my life so much. i have 9 siblings and of course we all argue, but as soon as i stick that hit parade disc in we just all connect. you guys are my favorite band and i will sincerely miss you all. i'm always praying 4 you guys. Mark -- you should always think of your vocal chord problem as a blessing because you really used your talent for God. And I'm sure he has blessed you so much. I'm always praying 4 you and i hope your voice gets better.
I heard you in concert @ sonfest @ carowinds on June 3, 2006. It was the 1st time i've ever heard you in concert and you guys were the best, even though ur voice was really messed up, (u could tell) and im really sorry that was my 1st time seeing u guys in concert because it was such a huge blessing and i dont think i'll b able to c u guys again.
Tyler -- you have an amazing voice. wow can u hold a note!!! keep up the good work and stay rocking for Jesus.
every1 else -- I'm loving the guitar!!! the drums!!! all of it good job guys!!!
I just wanted 2 say I've been through a really rough childhood. I have a really long and powerful testimony, but i'll just shorten it up a bit. When I was 11 my mom left. My sister got in2 drugs, sex, secular music, internet chatting, alot of stuff. She was only 14. She FALSELY accused my dad of some stuff and we weren't allowed 2 see him for about 6 months. it was like we were living in hell for 2 yrs. that's how long the whole thing took. We were in foster care for 6 months, and there was alot of struggles. it was not something kids at our age or at any age should go through. Through it all, anytime i was hurting and didn't have any1 to talk 2 or any1 that wanted 2 listen because everything was focused on my sister. I took a different road. my escape has always been #1 -- Jesus and #2 -- my christian music, which at the time and still is AUDIO ADRENALINE and TOBY MAC. you guys have done so much 4 me and my family. God is putting back 2gether my family piece by piece, but my dad has been scarred with a back disability, (probably from all the stress, and he was born with it). so anyways he can't work and we're always broke. We just barely make it on what we have, not even close enough to what a single father with 6 children (3 are moved out, 1 is my mom's) should have. Without God we would be homeless and i can't even imagine where we would be. And when i was at the concert at carowinds in north/south carolina mark, you said, you were poor referring to money, but because you had Jesus you were the richest people on the block. That blessed me so much when you said that. I just need to think more like that. Well anyways i love to tell my testimony there is so much more to it than that but i had to shorten it a bit. I think God is going to bless alot of people through me from my testimony so i tell every1 i can. I love your new album even though i dont have it, just what i can listen to on this page. I really wanted to get the set of the dvd and the cd and the autographed shirt and stuff, but i dont think we can afford it. i told my dad i was gonna make my way up to ur whole library, (right now i only have hit parade and until my heart caves in). I just wish i had the money for the new album its such a good 1. Thank you so much 4 blessing me and my family. oh yeah my little sister she's 1 1/2, any time she here's goodbye come on the radio, we dance and she says "bye, bye, bye" it's our song. I couldn't figure out how to get in contact with you guys before this but this is good. If you guys ever have a chance maybe you could email me or send me a letter that would be so awesome. i understand if you can't but that would be like the best thing EVER.

This is a thank you and Lord bless. I have had the privilege of seeing you up close many times through Interlinc. I worked with them from '95-2000. It has been fun to see the transformation of the band. It began with the four of you Bob Barry, Mark and Will. I have enjoyed your music thoroughly, truly my favorite band. I have so many memories that your music brings up, from your concerts, youth specialties interlinc booths with Marc Pittman sitting on the lifeguard stand and yelling on the megaphone with students watching the Big House video, to my own youth ministry experiences. We used your music to usher our students in to jam with during our game times to performing them during our worship time. Then in my personal life they were times of being directed in worshiping the King, to rode trips with my husband, or just jamming around the house as I clean. Now my little girls 6, 4 and 2 love your Big House song and sing it in there childrens praise and worship time or make me play it over and over in the van:) (did you ever imagine the impact of that song????) You are men who have faithfully honored the Lord with your talents. It almost brings me to tears when I think of the journey my life and ministry has gone, with your fanatastic music alongside of it. I pray that you keep pressing on brothers!!! I can't wait to worship with you in Heaven and on the new earth. Thank you for the gift you have given me and my husband and my babies!
Onward we go

"You know i'll always love you...you know i always will" For the past 15 years, Audio A has been my source and refuge for music that shows me God...and allows me to worship Him with the music. They were the first to put rock into Christian music...atleast the first good band. I just don't want to see them go...I pray that Marks vocals will heal, or that the band members will follow the will of God wherever it takes them, cause that is of most importance. I will miss you always, and never stop listening to your music. My kids will listen to Audio A all the time and I will tell them the story of how Audio A started the christian music revolution back in the early 90"s...what a great story on the video!!!! It made me cry...see you in Plymouth, Mi...and Columbus, OH...

I attended the concert 11/16/06 at Allen Arena and all I can say is that it was bitter sweet! I have to tell you that your music was the first "contemporary" Christian music that my dad ever really considered music! And that was only after hearing my daughter sing "Never gonna be as big as Jesus". Thank you for touching so many lives and for being transparent in your faith and struggles. You will all be in my prayers as you seek God's will and plan for your future's. Praying showers of blessings upon your families and you. God bless and thanks for the ride.

Ohio, 6 years ago my sister had just left her husband for anoher man. She quit going to church. So I took her 5 yr old to church with me and took her to school in the mornings.
Everyday on the way to school we would listen to AA, especially "Big House".
I soon married and moved to California. My niece asked to keep the AA cd. I left it with her.
Ohio, 5 yrs later my niece was 10, her brother from the affair was 5. He asked my sister where heaven was. My sister who used to walk closely with God, said she didn't know. My niece said, "I know! It's a big big house, with lots and lots of room, a big big table with lots and lots of food, and a big big yard where we can play football, it's my Father's house."
Thanking the Lord for your work and praying for your transition into the next chapter of your lives.
Your words and work have planted seeds spanning all ages. : )
God bless you.
